Forget about Dutch people and IDNs. They are not used to it. The .nl extension is the oldest ccTld in existence (cwi.nl 1-5-1986, kun.nl whois shows 1-1-1980 but that's incorrect) and IDN was never used in all those 23 years. Even when surfing a gTld like .com that has IDN support, I think 99 out of every 100 Dutch people will use plain ASCII and just forget the IDN stuff.
