but read the small print, like all these launches, the govt are witholding all geos (cities etc) for govt use, and there will be a block-list of reserved terms. There is also wording in there about "indescent" or "offending" names being unavailable. and then of course TM holders plus any other local govt restrictions on names they deem fit.
bottom line, there won't be a lot left.
If you happen to be sitting on any Russian idn.com geo's - all of this is good news, as it is certain that the Russian govt use of the geos in .***1056;***1060; will not be commercial. And with Verisign now stepping up asking for an idn version of .com etc - it's good news to idn.com holders.
Theres still a place for .***1056;***1060;, but IMO more of an official goverment set of websites.
