Hello,
If you up for a fot ve, go to NIC.ve, the official registrar. You don't need to be a resident in order to apply for a domain.
Venezuelan regulations only allows the public registration of third-level domains in the following extensions:
COM.ve
NET.ve
ORG.ve
INFO.ve
CO.ve
WEB.ve
Currently, the form of payment is only by Wire Transfer or local bank deposit. If you are not in Venezuela you might need to send a wire transfer which could be expensive based on your location and bank fess. They stop accepting credit cards a couple months ago.
If you want to register a .VE domain name and save some bucks at the same time, I think I could help you.
I can accept PayPal transfers or a wire transfer to a territorial US Bank and I can make the deposit for you. Once I made I, I send you the deposit number or wire transfer ID and you send it to NIC. I don-t even need to know which domain you are up to buy.
In this regards, you will need to send only USD7 per year per domain to me: Usually USD12 if you pay by credit card. Even more if you pay using a wire transfer.
It is possible to me to offer this, because our currency exchange market is controlled by the goverment so 1 buck for anyone
worths far more than one official dollar.
I hope it helps...
Will
