they are free but only for argentins since local pressence is required. If local pressence is needed, foreing registars charge for it

that rumour exist from about two years ago and till now nic.ar hasn't introduce any price for registering .com.ar domains. The only news were the limit of domains for registrant (200) and the deletion of domains with fake contact.
