Earlier this week creditcard.net.au dropped and was caught and auctioned by Drop for A$15,001 which I believe is a record (reported) sale price for a .net.au. This is obviously a solid gold keyword domain, but it does show that .com.au isn't the only game in town.
I would hate to be the guy who let this one expire

really?
but just look at the domain. from an aussies point of view, it was a bargain considering a lot of us (as you know) look for cards online. if i would have paid attention i would have definitely considered it myself......snooze you loose. and dont forget without using proxies etc, when we do our search's google redirects us to the '.com.au' so $15001aud was a steal and i dont think we will see it again at that price. thanks for the heads up |

A week or two ago Netfleet sold jobs.net.au for an ever higher price, A$15,500 on their aftermarket auction format (ie. not the drop auction). I think I remember seeing jobs.net.au selling at a drop auction for about $5,500 during 2010. A nice return to whoever caught that one!
