Best place to register for com.br domains?
... that is for non-residents of Brazil. By 'best' taking into account: security, service and price? |

See me post here: How to register .br outside Brazil
http://braslink.com is the cheapest 'registrar' for non residents that I've found ($50). I've never actually used them though. Marcaria.com seem a bit more of a 'trustable' company, they offer com.br registration, but it's a little bit pricey at $129. See: http://www.marcaria.com/Brazil/Domai...-br-Brazil.htm Also http://domainer.com.br offer some sort of registration of .br domains, I e-mailed them and they said they'd register one for $60, but this is not a company - it's a person. Again, I've not tried them, so I can't comment on them. Cheers, v5x Last edited by v5x; 03-10-2009 at 06:34 PM. |

NameAction offers their services as well but they are kind of the same as Marcaria but a bit more reliable.

I use http://www.101domain.com for most of my cctlds - they are a bit more expensive on some extensions but they have no charge for contact info or DNS changes and stuff like that - Marcaria and Nameaction both do. I also love their domain admin tool.
![]() @domainer.com.br: Is that $45 if you already have a local presence? |

By the way, I don't charge for dns changes, you can ask me to do that any time.

I don't, but 101domain takes care of that
I was wondering if your $45 price assumes that the person already does have one.

101domains says: REQUIREMENTS * Copy of company registration in Brazil (CNPJ), and a full Brazilian address and phone number are also required. I don't know how 101domains do for foreigns. For $45 fee that I charge for registration, I will keep your domain under my account, so you don't need to provide any brazilian documents (the same way I think 101domains does). If you have more questions, please let me know. Best regards,

Hi,
I'm still offering .br domains for US$ 45.00/year including local presence (you don't need to be a brazilian citizen nor have a local presence to get your own .br names). This is the cheapest price for a .br domain with local presence in industry. Be careful with low prices (as for example brdomains.net mentioned above, who is out of business and gone with lot of domains from people who paid for them). Contact: info@domainer.com.br Thank you, Alex
