I have bought a few .BZ domains. Dumb guy some would think , but those few domains do have natural traffic.

Some people consider .BZ a competitor to .BIZ (or viceversa). Nevertheless, after all .BZ is a ccTLD and have found that there is indeed a market for them, small yes, but a market after all.

Who has invested in .BZ ?
What are your opinions on this ccTLD. ?
What are your forecasta on .BZ ?

Reading this thread is going to be very interesting. For me, having this few .BZ domains have proven to be a nice little experiment.

I did not notice there was a .bz forum! yaay!

I have a couple .bz domains. I have invested in them for a while. Have sold some and have had offers on others. I think the popularity of the .biz helped a little and might be some typos of .biz with traffic.

In contrast to you, i have not seen much natural traffic (i.e type-in) to the .bz. this probably due in my opinion that Belize's population is only 300,000 and the people in charge of the .bz tld here in Belize have not done much to promote it here.

see my offer below on registering .bz i'm a registered reseller having once worked with Belizenic and still maintain a good relationship with them.

Well, in the case of .BZ ccTLD I guess the natural traffic depends on the actual domain you have. I had a few, didn't work, then I dropped them, bought anothers and, at the end with the few I have, I can say that I have "fine tuned" a little bit the way .BZ "works".

Notice that I use "works"... of course, .BZ has nothing to do with other .ccTLDs, yet it is interesting.

As of registering the ccTLD...they are expensive !!! very expensive. ! I do use registrars in the USA that offer much lower price... the leverage of volume and power

Anyway, good to know there are others with .BZ names.

i would love to know how .bz "works", your methods , etc. but i understand if its something you don't want give up as you've probably worked hard to figure it out.

also, i'm curious as to the price you get. can you pm me details, if possible?

Wlecome to the .BZ club. ! As said before, I do experience the same as you. Some traffic on my very few .bz names.

I do have some spelled in Spanish, some are in English and some are actually acronyms.

Ahh good old .bz, read my post on np, big big thread about the MASSIVE .bz drop, including good old travel.bz. sold them all offf for high x,xxx.... traffic wise, only one mega traffic name, home.bz, that had a buttload of traffic for a month made me a g, but then realised it was all link traffic from a similar adult site, whose idiotic webmaster made a typo on the links so around 25% of his traffic came to mine...

i noticed that was way back in 2005, now you can barely find any generic keywords in .bz, recently for a client in Belize i bought Rentals.bz from Belizenic for about $500us so thats the going rate for .bz generics it seems.

I used to work for Beliznic back in 2005, and i'm not too sure what happened, whether some guy dropped them or Belizenic was cleaning up the database and let them drop. They have a lot of domains held back, and also, sometimes when people don't renew the domains, the domains are still kept registered and are only released quite later. I"m not sure why this practice, but i'd say its because they're not fully automated.

So, basically sometimes its still quite possible to get Generics, you just have to constantly be looking out for them.
