I didn't know that they had opened IDN for second level. I still see most of .co.th or .com in thailand not using IDNs. But I agree, that IDNs for countries like Thailand, China, Myanmar... make sense.

Balkan registries are completely incompentent, and thus foreign speculation is quite limited.

I would suggest get .za in there, very popular in the good old south africa, quite cheap to speculate too!

Throw out .pt, its not even liberalized, throw out .fi, not liberalized, throw in vn or sg, both very popular in their respective markets. Throw in .nu too! Very popular in scandanavian countries!

I have balkan domains and I know some private sales x,xxx. The new owners are usually domainers and companies local.

I never have problems with Balkan registrars.

Explain your problems.

Do you know any sale in .co.za?

Yeah - First off I would definitely have a forum for "others" so that people with other TLD's you haven't added can still post their threads about different TLD's not listed.

Also, I liked the idea of simply regionalizing the categories that someone brought up earlier in this thread. I thought that was a great idea.

.hr and .ba are almoust imposible to own if you are not local, and if you are, there is many restrictions. So i predict they will stay at margins for some time. You have to send documentation by postal mail, have to be local, need to have reason for use, etc...

Do you think this forum should only be unrestricted ccTLDs?

No of course, but i think it would be better to add first unrestricted ones. Just my opinion, i dont have nothing against adding .ba, .hr and some other restricted

Personally I think it should say in parentheses next to the forum name where it listed, restricted or not, so that the viewer isn't mislead...There's an idea to consider

Also, just to add, I think a .to would be great. Bux.to is a HUGE website, so I'm sure people have some .to domains to sell or discuss...

Hi everyone!

What about a forum for Member Introductions where new and existing members can write a bit about themselves so others will learn more about who they're doing business with?

Not sure if such a forum is necessary or desired, but they're quite popular on the other domain boards.

Hopefully, it will be there shortly. I also think that this feature is needed urgently.

@Brands-and-Jingles Do you really believe in .ly domains used as domain hacks or .ly domains in general? Because I can't find value in them.

BTW .ly is the topleveldomain for Libyan Arab Jamahiriya.

I do. .TV is Tuvalu - I may never go there. It is Internet. Location does not matter. But some hacks are good, the jingling ones:

Matt Mullenweg is buying them too. So give me a reason why not? They are pricey, but available too.

Many are already developed, bit.ly, bright.ly, ita.ly, ...

Read more on .LY of course!

From Focus on .LY:
.LY of course! Focus on .LY

Only 30% is indigenous (Arabic) content - the rest is international, with English taking the lead.

What do you know about idn.idn in .ly?

Can't register idn in .ly (idn.ly), right?

You mean get a second level domain name and then resell third-level?

You can as long as you stay compliant with the registry rules.

As to the idn question, have a look at biz.ly - they just do it.

As to .LY - yes, this ccTLD can make it.

Watch song.ly - the next last.fm maybe.

More of cool .LY sites on .LY of course! Examples
