I would love a forum for HDN's (hacked domain names), there are some brilliant HDN's out there.

Also having just found this site today I must agree that a 'new members forum' is a great idea.

Thanks. We'll take both of those into consideration.

Not sure.ly, not real.ly into the hacks, more into the jingling names.

Can you please have fora for ALL the British Isles?

That is

IM
GG
and
JE

as well as UK, and IE?

Thanks

(If you do the relevant ccTLD manager(s) would be able to take part.)

That's cheap.ly. For serious.ly there were bids of 1.5k and still waiting, not too serious at the moment.

Let's have a look how much will they raise for v.ly.

By the way, .JE - means also "YOU" in Dutch and Flemish.

IM - instant messange, though not that popular abbreviation these days.

Since this is ccTLDs.com I suggest we add .VN. The ccTLD has grown to over 100k in users and .VN websites are getting almost 5 million hits per day. .VN actually is about to launch a domain parking program which was prohibited before so there's a lot more value in .VN domains than in the past. This will help to establish a secondary market as well as make this a more viable investment to domainers.

I would be more than happy to help run this .VN forum. I have many years working with .VN and want to help educate others about this ccTLD. For any questions please contact me. Thanks.

Sincerely

It does indeed (you are guessing a couple of the points I will cover in my presentation if my hoped-for talk at Amsterdam goes ahead. There are many Dutch and Belgians registering such names!

There is another, much bigger hack on JE in the Dutch language (or should I say 'more little'). I'll leave you to guess on that one.

In addition JE is a French domain hack (JE='I')

GG is attractive to online Gambling, and to Chinese registrants (again, I'll leave you to guess why, or ask me in Amsterdam).

Nigel Roberts

PS: Rick, do we get GG/JE and IM? You could put them in one forum if you like.

I'd echo this, though bear in mind you CANNOT resell IE domains ie. no aftermarket allowed

Well I was able to grab a few generics in the last week (plus I think our pricing on them is pretty aggressive )
