Question EuroDNS asking for passport number?

I'm registering a ccTLD with EuroDNS which cost me almost $260 just to register. After paying, they sent an email asking for my passport number. Is this normal?

EuroDNS is not interested in such data for themselves - each ccTLD Registry has its own procedures and that's why every Accreditated Registrar is obligated to respect them = expect from end-users.

But fortunately, there are many of ccTLDs which are not restrictive.

It is not usual but sometimes some ccTLDs have strange requirements. And unfortunately if you want to register domains under such TLDs - you need to stick to their rules.
