I am wondering: Porno.co.uk $200,000

prono is german or spanish and porn is english. I really have my doubts that anyone will bid this amount, but let's see.

One rather obvious (to us in the EU, anyway) question: why are the prices in US Dollars instead of Euro?

I guess to many online bidders expected from the US, and they might not be familiar with US/Euro exchange rate ?

Porno is English as well. Both words are used.

I think that porn is the more common form of the abbreviation and in the English language areas, the 'porn' form would be the main one.

On the .de tracking database: 581 *porn.de domains and 491 *porno.de domains.

On the .co.uk tracking database: 1122 *porn.co.uk domains and 122 *porno.co.uk domains.

On the .eu tracking database: 976 *porn.eu domains and 641 *porno.eu domains.

Google keyword tool shows a broad volume in the UK of 68,000,000 for "porn" and just 3,350,000 for "porno" (you have to go to the "filter options" to get it to return adult results). Flip to "exact" view, and it's 7,480,000 for "porn" vs 550,000 for "porn".

Lose the "o" and the reserve looks good. With the extra letter, not so much...

That's for the UK, btw. In the US, the ratio between "porno" and "porn" drops from 14:1 to 6:1 - it's another of those US/UK divide things.
