Very interesting news, of course the one big question is the political situation within the country itself and how this might affect those who register domains.

It should also be noted that Somalia is a Muslim country, and those trying to register adult domains are likely to come unstuck, either having the registration turned down or if a registration should occur having it terminated without notice (just my opinion).

There are some interesting domain hacks that could be possible using .so, either as the final two letters of a word or as the word 'so'. The extremely reasonable pricing for a ccTLD registration is a buck against the trend in modern launches.

I think I may register some domains, though they will be very selective.
