New record in domain business: German domain Preisvergleich.de (price comparison) sold for US$ 15,000,000.00 to an anonymous investor from Dubai.

Preisvergleich.de is the most expensive website in the world. The previous owner from Leipzig Unister Ltd., which operates several web sites and markets, announced that only the domain was sold. The portal itself and its contents will remain unchanged, however, must now have a new name.

yeah i made a google search and came across an article, they updated the original article with a statement that this was a prank, other renowned magazines just removed there articles with that posting

(but are still indexed in google)
