Default Rule of Thumb for pricing .cn domains?

I know that pricing of domains is always a difficult matter as it depends upon so many different factors.

It is said (everything else being equal) that a .net domain is worth very approx. 1/10 of a .com domain (how true that is ... is debatable).

However, what 'Rule of Thumb' do you use for pricing .cn domains?

For example: is a .cn say half or double that of a .net? Or where on that type of spectrum?

Its very true. If I consider my case as example, when I search for something (say, I'm searching for free softwares), I do search in url bar freesoftwares dot com instead of freesoftwares dot any other extensions. The ratio may be 100:1 in my case in terms of using dot com and any other extensions. I think this is one of the key factor why .com is more valuable since it comes automatically comes from mind. However, you are also right that its debatable.

I don't own any .cn yet. But I have inclusively two opinions regarding it:

a) It may worth equal or less of .net
b) It may worth even more than .com for those domainers who understand the targeted buyers group well in China.

I would say that any ccTLD is worth just as much as a .com depending on the domain quality and of course finding the right buyer....

Like Doms1995 said - I think it really comes down to finding the right buyer.

Does know the best place to buy and sell .cn names? Any idea what the domaining community is like in China?

If you are comparing the prices to a .net I would be careful. They are as weak as I have ever seen them. Whatever you think the .net is worth I would cut in half and then divide that by two
