Default How to transfer a .ES domain

The owner of an ".es" domain or, when appropriate, a fully authorised representative, must send notification of acceptance of the transfer of the right to use the ".es" domain, along with a photocopy of their identification document, using the following document.
Notification from the previous owner
https://www.nic.es/media/2007-12/1197027684520.pdf

The recipient of the ".es" domain must send Red.es the form stating compliance with the provisions of the Domain Plan, acceptance of the transfer conditions and the request to modify the registry information for the domain in question.
If the domain is to be managed directly through Red.es, send the following document: Acceptance of conditions by the new owner
https://www.nic.es/media/2008-06/1212491347292.pdf

If the domain is to be managed through a Registrar, send the following document: Acceptance of conditions by the new owner through a Registrar
https://www.nic.es/media/2008-06/1212491544925.pdf
Once all the information indicated above has been received and verified, Red.es will send both the recipient or, when applicable, the Registrar, and the owner confirmation, by electronic means, that the transfer has been completed.

All documents related to the ".es" Domain Transfer Procedure must be e-mailed to [transmision @ nic.es], indicating the domain name on the subject line of the e-mail.

If you are transferring several domain names, indicate the first domain name and the number of domain names affected on the subject line of the e-mail.

The applications for this procedure must be submitted with the documents in Spanish.

This pdfs in English are only for information purposes.
Notification from the previous owner
Acceptance of conditions by the new owner
If the domain is to be managed through a Registrar, send the following document: Acceptance of conditions by the new owner through a Registrar

Is it worth it? I just bought one for 60 Euros. This sounds like a pain.

if you do it yourself and not involve your registrar, it it rather simple and fast. Fill out the documents takes you 5 minutes and send it to the other party. Afterwards send the documents to nic.es and all will be done quickly. I have done this several times already.
The domain you have bought for Euro 60, might be worth a couple of thousand Euros tomorrow (but you know that better than I do).

hello rick, the paperwork is not so relevant and very easy to fill, so i think it worths if you liked the domain, even if it is a slow amount. Nic.es takes around 3-5 days to make the transfer.

Thanks Alfredo for the details.

Do you have to apply to be a registrar to do it yourself? I've been surfing red.es for a while now and can't for the life of me figure out how to get a NIC Handle without going to one of their registrars. https://www.nic.es/registro/article/258

Hi ,
no you do not need to have an agent neccesarely or to be an registrar,
you can have your domain directly at nic.es as well.
The nic handle you will obtain(request) once being the owner of the domain from nic.es.

Our transfer agents (lucy, jessica) can explain you in depth on monday how to proceed if you would like have the domain yourself (with no registrar) regarding the domain.

About NIC Handle

Try it.

1.- https://www.nic.es/esnic/esn/verVali...inio=domain.es
2.- Write captcha
3.- Find NIC_HANDLE, near BX1-ESNIC-F4
4.- BX1-ESNIC-F4 <--- this is the NIC Handle

Each domain has a NIC Handle.

Depends on registrar you can have the same NIC Handle for all domains.

Do you have any .es?

Yes. --> https://www.nic.es/esnic/esn/verVali...ction?dominio=YOURDOMAIN.es And use this NIC Handle

No.---> https://www.nic.es/esnic/jsp/alta-contacto.jsp

If you have more questions, Shoot

Maybe in a combined effort we could make a ONLINE form, once filled out would transfer directly to a PDF, which could be sent to NIC.

Someone interested in doing it? I am willing to participate in the Costs of Programming it.

May be a good idea to diminish some pain of the process.

What about the signature? I think THAT'S the crux! You have to print sign and scan it.

Most people probably integrate their scanned signature into the PDF, but I am not sure if this is (theoretically) legal.

I think it's the same as with the ID card, scan and upload the file.
The system should make a PDF of all components.

I think this should be workable.

I am doing it now with excel and word .

2 weeks ago the Spanish registry only accepts domain transfer forms located on this webpage : Dominios :: Tus dominios :: Procedimiento de transmisi***243;n

All other forms are not accepted.

Transfer no paperwork needed.

Transfer of ownership still requires paper work.
