Here we go....new feature to ccTLDs.com.
If you have not already noticed, every ccTLD forum has its own sales section. Since you now can post your names in their specific sales forums, this forum can be used if there is nowhere to post your domain(s) you want to sell. For instance....

Are there any requirements for what the post must include such as expiry date, price, etc.?

Some cctlds have very expensive renovations or haven't auth-code. It's important to include this in the sale's thread.

Okay, thanks
You may want to make some guidelines though about including that information...

We haven't made any requirements yet but that doesn't mean we won't if people start complaining.

But it's important for the buyer to know, otherwise it causes the viewer the inconvenience of having to search it himself...

I wonder if you'd consider blocking the "for sale" forums from being spidered by the search engines? Often, people want to raise prices later or don't want the fact that they put a particular name up for sale to be easily discovered (e.g. in response to a legal threat) and a lot of the other domain forums block access for just that reason...

I agree with Edwin on that one. I didn't realize forums could block those spiders, but sometimes when I sell a domain a couple months after for more money because I realized it's worth more, I don't want others finding out I was going to sell it for much less a few months ago...

Rick, you might ad a rule:
Sometimes I see subject lines such as: "Superhot Top Medical Name for sale, must see" And then I open that post to see: medicaldevicescleanerwipes24.org In other words: In case the domain or the domains fit in the subject line: Then they have to be postet there. Whether the domain ist "hot" or not is MY decision, no? I do not need ANY advice on that decision on behalf of the owner. It simply takes too much time to open those postings just to find something I would have never opened if I had identifyed the domain in the subject line. Best, Alexander |

I don't see that as a problem. If you want to sell a real good domainname you most likely want to mention it in the topictitle, so if it's not in the topictitle you can probably assume it is not a real good domainname.
I would like to propose another rule however, and that is to keep discussions out of sales topics. If you have a problem with a (sales) topic, why not use the button to report it? Or if you want to discuss it, open a discussion topic.

Let me put it in another way: if you leave out the domainname it's most likely that you do that on purpose, with a reason. (Almost) always the reason will be that the domain name is not very good, and that implies the poster is experienced enough to realise that his name is not very good.

Weather I choose to put the name in the Thread Title or not is my decision and not yours. Newbies like you expect to buy furniture.com for $12,000 and I can very well see where this kind of attitude comes from. When people have a problem they report the post, they DONT crash a sales thread, reflects on the kind of professionalism you have. |
