Well this is the final one of the five domain hacks I am putting up for auction on eBay.
Fig.ht Within minutes of it being listed this domain received a bid! Now let us see just what domain hacks are worth in an open auction. Last edited by Billbo; 09-05-2010 at 11:21 PM. |

Zapdaddy, thanks for the comment, Fig.ht is definately a very interesting hack for anyone interested in any of the physical contact sports such as wrestling, boxing, martial arts, MMA, etc..
All the hack domains I put into auction have reserves on them, one of which is high $xxx with the other four being in $x,xxx range, so the present bids definately do not come anywhere near the reserves. In an ideal world local press and media would be running the relevent 'State' sale (Wiscons.in and Arkans.as) as a story, but unfortunately they only want to run it if the domain sells. Strange that they do not think that their readers and viewers would be interested in the sale of a domain name that could become the address of the primary state website. Makes you wonder what criteria they apply for news, could you imagine any press or media not covering an election but only publishing the results after polling day? Mind you they all want me to advertise in their papers, website, etc.. Somehow I think I will give that a miss. The most viewed domain hack on eBay is JesusChri.st, it has already had over 1,100 views of the auction, not surprisingly really when you consider the potentcy of the domain name. Well the auctions will end between this coming Saturday and a week today, the last of course being Fig.ht itself. By the way the 'reserve ranges' are a scoop for this forum, they are posted nowhere else, after all this is the forum dedicated to cctlds so it only seemed fitting to publish the exclusive here. I thing some of these hacks are great names. Does anyone know of any widely used domain hacks? The only one that comes to mind for me, being a domainer, is who.is

Perhaps the best known was del.icio.us (since changed to using Delicious.com), but there is a Wikipedia article on hacks, it also gives some details of ones being used.
Link here As a side note I would not recommend one word hacks subdivded into three (such as del.icio.us) as people do forget where to put the dots! But that is purely a personal opinion. The domains in my signature link to the respective auctions on eBay. |

Hi Zap,
Fig.ht is registerd at IPMirror.com, renewal is March 2011. Hope this helps. This is the most popular according to the number of enquiries, I just wish people would start bidding! ![]() If it doesn't sell I am arranging for its development by a specialist developer of product sites, but like everything that would have to wait until the cash flow allows - it is the same old story I am sorry to say.
