DotEs, it's the strangest domain market in the world...
My tip is to study as much sales as possible before buying something.

i saw a few month ago a explosion on sedos auctions

i remember skillgame.it / skillgames.it going for 15k euros each.
and blackjack.it etc

Very interesting, how about the liberalization of this nice "pasta" cctld extension

I wrote something interesting in Italian regarding these sales in another forum...
What I think is that these sales, and the whole skill games auctions, were a great SEDO marketing operation to ignite the .it market.
There were a lot domains for sale, and hoping to make even just 1-2 great sales was a strategy. In fact people are still talking about these two sales and foreign domainers think they mean the .it market is going to grow very fast.
But the real market condition is another both reseller and enduser...

Often the winners of Sedo auctions don't pay the money and often in some auctions a bunch of offshore companies bid on domains to pay less taxes at the end of the year.

On NameJet I see everyday domains sold for high x,xxx but the winner will never pay so the names are re-auctioneed again and again...

I agree with you.
It's time big auction companies start to realize a simple auction don't "pump" up a market.

Demand create a market.
In Italy the demand for .it domains is low so the sales are low.
