The following procedure apply to April and May Auctions of domains not allocated during Sunrise and Land Rush auctions unless otherwise indicated.

Auctions last 7 days starting:

1. for the first auction Apr 23 thru Apr 29, list of names
2. for the second auction May 14 thru May 20, list of names

The registry seems to have held back many names. Looks like some trademark domains as well. Confusing.

This auctions keep .me domains in people's minds. I think that is good.

Nic.me explains about premium domains .ME highly valuable Premium Domains.

I think some of the names are nice, but I still doubt that they get decent type in traffic. I might be wrong. Good for the people who saw the potential (at least for resale) and registered some decent generics.

I just registered generics in Serbian-Montenegrin and traffic is minimal.

Also I have .rs (Serbia) and is the same.

I think the best sellers (as we could see from the auction) are domains like rock.me, call.me, date.me which make some sense in english.

.me is another lousy extension that they try sell at every corner Only two kind of entities will earn on it: .me registry and registrars that support this TLD (like GoDaddy). In few years nobody (besides people in Montenegro) will remember about it (IMHO).

This year. yu will away. I guess it started to be used in Montenegro.

All my .me are in Montenegrin language and right now they have typein.

Not necessarily in my opinion. Internet users have more and more power to create the market. It's the power that marketeers will never have.

As to .tv - if the government of Tuvalu publishes how much money they make, all 12,373 inhabitants of the island would like to get substantial share of the revenues. So this justifies the secrecy, in the bureaucrats' eye at least.

.ME: this month they just turned 250,000 registered names milestone. Here is the press-release from the registry:

I think as long as the registry of .ME keeps the marketing campaign running, people will register .me domains. The domain which aren't developed won't get much traffic, unless they are in local language.

.ME is brandable, but with the right marketing concept and the right amount of money and a bit of luck you can brand about anything.

.TV I agree is a different story, as I have seen many TV stations using the extension for their TV shows.

20 more ads like that on various national televisions and .me will easily catch up with .tv and .info.

Indeed, it is all about marketing. 25% of pages on the Internet have word "me" - so branding "me" products is a bit easier than say "be" or "je". One need a bit of lucky too.
