Internet experts’ conference comes to the Netherlands in 2010

SIDN, the .nl registry, and ISOC, the worldwide non-profit organization of internet professionals, are pleased to announce that the 78th IETF meeting will be held at the MECC in Maastricht between 25 and 30 July 2010. The IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force, part of ISOC) is an open, international community of leading internet experts that concerns itself with the development, architecture and standardisation of the internet. The work that the IETF does makes it possible for people to surf the net and use e-mail. IETF meetings are held three times a year at different venues around the world – typically attended by about 1,200 registrars from more than fifty countries.
