The list consist of really nice names and I wouldn't complain if I got such domains in my portfolio

But if I could I would replace some of them with domains like:

hotele.pl (hotels)
hotel.pl (hotel)
bank.pl (bank)
seks.pl (the same popular name for sex in Poland)
poker.pl (poker)
filmy.pl (films)
pizza.pl (pizza)
noclegi.pl (accommodation)
bilety.pl (tickets)

Actually kino.pl was recently sold for 150.000 PLN ($45.000). Other domains are already taken and it will be very difficult to buy any of them (unless you have several hundred thousand dollars (or in some cases even million dollars) in your pocket

at least auto.pl and sex.pl are not for sale....

auto/sex + a few more names are so called "functional domain names" belonging to the Registry (NASK) and are not for sale. Of course you can register 3rd level domains under such "functional domain names", and there are from few hundred names registered under sex.pl or auto.pl to 250 000 names under .com.pl

I believe that such "functional" and "regional" (like waw.pl, szczecin.pl) domain names will disappear in the future and their market share in .pl zone will drop to under 5-10% (now it is 33%). It is a matter of time.

Some 2nd level names will disappear, some will stay alive and growing. It's the Market to give the answer...

As of today we have in Poland:
255,930 .com.pl domains!
28,350 .net.pl
22,938 .waw.pl
19,411 .org.pl
16,224 .info.pl
9,587 .biz.pl
6,920 .edu.pl

it shows some interest in some 2nd level domains (so called "SLD"). If you have customers, why not to market such names? It's not only about new registrations but also .com.pl is popular in the aftermarket.

In May NASK starts with a promotion for 2nd level domain names: each Partner can register 3rd level (for example xxxx.net.pl) domain name for 1 PLN (23 cents) if one .PL domain is registered. I hope it can create some activity in this part of the market. I have some feedback already that it's of much interest of some of our Partners.

Such promotion can give us some understanding on the near future of the SLDs.

Some examples show that the value of 2nd level domains in .pl zone (.com.pl for example) is 1% of the same keyword under .pl extension and prices for .com.pl are going down. That's why I believe that those domains are dead already, let just give them some more time.. but market will soon tell us the answer.

This new promotion will not help .com.pl, .net.pl and other such domain names. Maybe it will bring some new registrations (1 PLN is not a lot of money..) but the renewal rate of those domains after one year will be very, very low (in case of .pl registered in January last year for promotional prices 10 PLN only about 25% were renewed for the wholesale price of 40 PLN net) and probably between 10-20% or even less.

But let's wait and see..
