I have recently heard the argument that .to domains may be used to market goods and services in Toronto, Canada. The .to tld apparently resonates with residents of toronto as they refer to their city as TO. Any thoughts or comments?
I have yet to see a developed .to domain target toronto and its residents. Could a mini site do this effectively? cheers.. |

Thank you for pointing out those domains.
I see that there is some interest in developing .to tlds for a toronto audience. I'll be interested to see how these domains fair in the future. cheers! |

The extension .to is a hack dream come true. I'll spend the next few days thinking of hacks. Someone has toron.to. But there are so many others. One registrar charges $50 per year, minimum of 2 years. High as that price is, it's worth the investment for a great hack.

I agree that .to is worth the investment. Popular opinion is that it may take a couple of years to fully realise its potential.
As a hack or as a domain targeting Toronto, Canada, it seems a premium .to tld properly developed will be profitable. There are already a few good .to sales mentioned in this forum on previous posts. I wonder if there will be any .to tlds auctioned at the CCTLD auction in Amsterdam this summer. Time will tell! |
