Just noticed today that the long running website GoLeft.tv is no longer hosted on the rapidly deteriorating .TV extension.
![]() My guess is that Justin.tv will be hosted on a .COM before year's end. |

So why do you say rapidly deteriorating?
You post one example. I hear sedo dissuade from .TV. And of course the muppets at godiddy. But with my own eyes, i see growth. Just moved to the UK and in the space of 2 days seen 3 TV programs using the extension. Bid.TV Teachers.TV Fitness.TV Broadcast all over TV. Is this not a positive? |

There are many challenges facing this extension.
The list goes on, and on, and on: ICANN introducing new TLDS, lax regulation of ccTLDS, strained relations between Verisign and Tuvalu, the 2012 contract expiration, premium renewal increases, non-competitive standard renewals, extension abandonment by Current.TV, ChannelMe.tv, GoLeft.tv, etc., etc. No one in their right mind would spend $$$$$ on developing . TV website with the above knowledge. The only thing this extension is good for is a website selling life rafts locally in Tuvalu or perhaps a local tackle shop. |

They do sound like challenges.
But, do you really think they will just pull the plug on the registry. Will believe that when I see it. I think it will continue to be driven by demand. Demand we can see on already invested, already developed sites and networks. I see a new one almost every day. We will keep see them popping up day after day for the years to come. If you have any you want to off load cheap let me know. |
