I just took the plunge and acquired my first .co.uk name:

PokerRooms.co.uk



I believe I acquired it an exceptional price. I was hoping to get some feedback on what you guys might appraise this name at. Thanks!

Nice domain, but I believe it is trademarked. Not sure if they have a TM in the UK so.

Thanks for the response. The term "poker rooms" is very generic...I find it hard to believe it could be trademarked. Why do you think this?

I like the name and wouldn't think that you have any problems with trademarks.

apple, oracle, target, just to mention a few, are also very much generic and trademarked. I am not saying you will have problems, but you might just want to be prepared.

Apple is a valid trademark to sell computers, but you cannot use Apple as a trademark to sell apples. You can probably register Pokerrooms as a trademark for industrial paint, but I think the trademark will not hold in court if you registered it for operating poker rooms.
