Default Changes to poor quality data notification process

On 7 April 2009 we will make some changes to the process for amending poor quality registrant data.

When a registrant's account is found to have poor quality or incorrect data, we will now initially notify the registrar with a request to update the data. If no update is received then the registrant will be emailed. If the details are still not updated then the domain name is suspended and cancelled. The steps and notifications sent can be summarised as:

* Poor quality data process initiated
* Registrar notified and given 10 working days to update
* If no update is received within 10 days the registrant is notified
* Registrant notified and given 20 working days to update
* If no update is received the domain name is suspended and notification sent to the registrant and registrar
* If after a 30 day suspension period, no update is received, the domain name is cancelled
