To all,
I am glad to see co.za finally added to cctlds.com as the market is really heating up. There have been quite a few sales within the beginning of 2010 and also at the end of 2009. It seems like things are only going to get better. I am always up for buying revenue generic co.za domains for over 15 years revenue multiple, preferably parked at Sedo. They do not have to be high traffic domains or even cover reg cost per domain in revenue annually. Regards, Gavin |

I too am glad to see the .co.za getting some elbow room here...
This is certainly a defining year for South Africa with the "Worlds Biggest Event", namely the Soccer (football) World Cup being hosted there in June and July this year. Gavin, I am sure with the Dollar exchange to the Rand (SA currency) you will find quite a few bargain .co.za's out there. |

I have personally seen a lot of end users starting to buy up domains as well which is a great indicator in terms of driving factors behind the co.za domain valuations. Between, this, the world cup and the growth rate of broadband penetration the value is just going to increase.
I personally think the exchange rate will become even more favorable after the world cup but if you have any bargains out there let me know as you know i am actively buying pretty much anything generic .co.za |

Thanks.
Sold it to a very smart end user. The company is keen to affiliate and online marketing and also purchased a few other furniture related domains. I believe the domain could be worth more but I am very encouraged by this end user interest in premium generics. I am starting to have more and more conversations with end users that are seeing the immediate benefits and value in domain name purchases. In addition I have seen a jump in type in traffic in accordance with the internet penetration growth rate in South Africa. This specific buyer had a very good understanding of conversion tracking and the value the name brings in terms of typein traffic = leads, and SEO which will lead to a dramatic increase in traffic and sales when ranked. |

Hi Gavin
That is very encouraging, I have noticed an increase in type in traffic as well. I see you have moved a few of your domains to adsense parking which I did a few months back, this has show significantly higher returns than traditional parking in particular finance related domains. |

I actually park all of my co.za names with sedo and find them to convert extremely well. Maybe it was someone elses names that you thought. I have worked with them for years and will continue to especially for cctlds.
